They back off each other, the taste of Cas still all over his lips, deep in his mouth.  His mouth is still tingly and he turns as if to make sure they’re alone.  He turns back, licking the last of Castiel’s taste off his lips.  Cas looks up at him through his lashes, licking his lips and looking back down.

Dean’s heart is still pounding heavy in his chest, his shirt is wrinkled where Castiel’s hands gripped it.  He’s tempted to reach back for Cas, to pull him back and kiss him senseless again.  He can’t just yet though.  His hands are shaking and he is reeling with the awkward tension in the room.

For once, Castiel acts first, grabbing Dean and mashing their mouths together again.  Their lips are moving in the same perfect synchronization and Dean’s left breathless again.

“Hey Cas, come take a look at this”
“What is it?”
“Do you think we should cut down that tree by the sidewalk? I just think my lovely Petunias need—”
“Dean, it’s fine. Just leave it”
“But I want to make sure that—”
“Dean. We just spent all of yesterday making sure that our—”
“Yeah okay, fine. I’ll go make us breakfast”
“I’ll make orange juice”
“Hey Cas hold on, do you ever get the feeling that we’re forgetting something? That we’re supposed to be somewhere else?”
“I’m supposed to go to the market to get oranges.. and honey”
“Don’t be a smartass. You know I didn’t mean it that way”
“Dean, all I know is that I’m where I want to be”
“Yeah, me too”

They had locked something away, something deep inside them. The truth that they’d always known but chose to forget. Limbo became their reality.

“I rebelled and I did it… all of it…for you.”
